And from that day, o'er hill and glade,
through those old woods a path was made.

The Thoroughfare now has comments!
It took us too long (our first post was half a year ago) but
we think we've finally got a good solution.
Thanks to Brent Simmons,
we found the DISQUS commenting system and used it to enable comments on all posts, even previous ones.
It was a breeze to install, and we think it's got a great set of features for you too. Let us know if you agree!
We hope enabling comments here inspires even more of the great discussion we've been having
with users via email.
That invitation remains open, and email is still the best place to get the prompt and personal support our customers have come to expect.
Comments just add another way for you to let us know what's on your mind.
You can also send feedback about @geotagalog, @inbugz
or @cheapgps just by mentioning them on Twitter.
We plan to send out more product-specific updates via those accounts,
to supplement the company-wide tidbits on our main @calftrail account.
You don't even need a Twitter account to follow them, since each account has an RSS feed to which anyone can subscribe.
Again, as always, and just in case we haven't said it enough: your feedback is always appreciated; via email, Twitter, this blog,
and even your own blog! Tell your friends, and keep in touch.

After releasing Cheap GPS for some geohashing fun,
we decided to turn back to crafting a more serious app. So today we announce Inbugz,
a native iPhone/iPod touch client for FogBugz.
It can be found on the App Store here.
We've been using FogBugz since we started Calf Trail and have been quite happy with it.
But we've wished for a native iPhone/iPod touch app so we can review bugs and features when we're away from our desks.
Inbugz 1.0 is intended to cover basic features of FogBugz that are important when away from a computer.
However, this also means that there are plenty of features in the works (search is coming, for example),
so if there's a feature that you feel is missing, please let us know!
Current features include:
- Reply to support emails
- Assign a case to a person on your team
- Sort cases into projects, areas, and fix-fors
- Modify the priority of a case
- Tap on a case number to view in the FogBugz web interface
At the moment, there are some known issues when using Inbugz with self-signed web certificates.
Additionally, if your self-hosted installation of FogBugz is located at a subdirectory,
please include the tailing slash in the URL, like so: https://yourdomain.com/fogbugz/
Please contact us if you need any help.

Summer is here, and the beautiful sunny days make it feel like nothing important happens sitting inside at our desks.
After our rapid development schedule this spring, working on bigger releases feels like slow progress.
We've made good advancements, though, on a number of fronts:
Geotagalog
Work continues on version 2.0 of our photo geotagging app.
Assumptions in the original code were holding us back, so we've been doing some internal remodeling.
These changes are taking a little longer than we'd hoped, but it turned out that many of them enable
features that are appropriate for a release of their own.
Since we appreciate the great service the MacUpdate team provides to both users and developers, we'll let you read
about the new features in Geotagalog 1.4 beta there.
Cheap GPS
Our navigation updates made it through review. You can now enjoy two new navigation modes in both the
pay and
free versions.
It might be a few weeks before we get to it, and a few weeks before it's available in Apple's store, but we've got even more planned.
There's a lot of potential the new iPhone 3.0 software will open up.
Mercatalog
Hmm, not so much progress here lately, huh?
We do have plans for getting Mercatalog out from under the shadow of iPhoto's Places in the long term.
We hope to present short-term plans before the mid-future is past.
Website
We're still working out the most efficient way to improve the features on this blog and
the content on our site.
We want this site to reflect the dedication we have to our customers and to the work we do, without taking our
focus and resources away from those very things.
We've been encouraged by all your emails,
kind words and purchases lately.
Enjoy these summer days, and keep taking those pictures!
